Mosquito Control

The Asian tiger mosquito is established along the humid western slope up to roughly a thousand metres and it bites through the day, not only at dusk. Stored water is the biggest breeding site in Lebanese buildings, so the tanks, roof drums and balcony containers are dealt with before anything is sprayed, and we use pyrethroids rather than malathion because local populations resist it.

Pigeons settle on balcony ledges, roof parapets, air conditioning units and shop signage, and the droppings are the real problem because they corrode surfaces and carry pathogens. Netting and spikes fitted to the actual ledge are what keep them off, since chasing them away simply moves the flock two floors up.

Is the treatment safe around children and pets?

Yes, when the product suits the room and the technician's instructions are followed. Aluminium and zinc phosphide are banned nationwide by the Ministry of Public Health for pest control in residential and populated areas, which is why you should ask what any company intends to use in your home.
